Us.
Aiston means “from the town with the ash trees,” and that meaning is deeply woven into our identity.
Our logo features an ash tree with a strong network of roots and a flock of birds taking flight from its branches. It reflects a truth we hold close:
“There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots; the other, wings.”
Sometimes, those roots are tangled—buried in legal complexity, family dynamics, and uncertainty about the future. We help families sort through those knots early, so their legacy is strong, enduring, and clear.
When the roots are tended, the tree thrives. And the birds always have a safe place to return.
Candice Aiston
Attorney
Candice started Aiston Law in 2008 to serve Oregon families with estate planning that actually works. Her approach is shaped by both personal experience—losing her mom as a child without a plan in place—and professional insight gained from nearly two decades of practice.
A graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and a member of the Oregon State Bar, Candice is known for helping “the weirdos who never thought they’d be people with an estate planning lawyer.”
When she’s not lawyering, Candice is likely making wine, rescuing plants and dogs, or planning her next trip.
Talula Aiston
Client Service Coordinator
Talula joined Aiston Law in 2024 after graduating from high school and quickly became an essential part of the team. As our Client Services Coordinator, she helps ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and that clients feel supported and cared for throughout their experience with the firm.
Outside of work, Talula loves baking (and discovering new bakeries), eating pasta, planning and taking trips, teching for theater productions, and going on long walks with her dogs. She also enjoys hanging out with friends, taking epic naps, and chasing every bit of joy she can find—sometimes until sunrise.
