Estates + Elder Law Services in Portland, Oregon (and throughout Oregon)

Estate Planning is personal, as is administering the estate of a deceased loved one. Most people think of Estate Planning as “getting our wills done” or “setting up a trust” or “getting something in place,” but what it really means is protecting and providing for yourself and your family if the unthinkable happens. Everyone has estate planning on their to-do list because it’s the financially responsible thing to do to protect yourself and your family. Each family has differing needs that our office advises on, and we offer a variety of ways for people to do their planning in a way that is easy, affordable and thorough, using legal tools such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and more. Our Elder Law services help clients to plan for incapacity, disability, and long-term care, using a variety of legal tools including Medicaid trusts, VA Pension trusts, spend-down plans, and more. Likewise, estate administration needs are different depending on your deceased loved one’s existing estate plan, assets, and family situation. We handle small estate affidavits, probates, and trust administration, as well as handling the tedious work of contacting banks and other institutions to get things wrapped up. Candice brings lived experience into her practice to build comprehensive, personalized plans for her clients; to preserve your hard-earned assets and promote family harmony; and to administer the estates of your deceased loved ones with thoroughness and care. She worries about all of the details and the what-ifs so that her clients can do the work of being with, caring for, and loving their families and communities.
